Fellow Traveler,
As we begin to travel down unknown
roads, we must not dictate where we will and will not
go. For God may have us walk down difficult roads, unknown
roads, roads with no end in sight. But I assure you that
it is on these lonely roads where we will at last meet
Jesus face to face.
If we choose to walk only where others
have gone before, the safe and easy well-worn path; we
may be able to set an easier pace, and there will be
more company along the way. However, I assure you; in
the safety of the well-worn path, there will be fewer
glimpses of Jesus.
It is on the narrow road, the one less
traveled, where boulders seem to block our path and the
loneliness threatens to suffocate that we will at last
come to need Jesus. It is there that we will
learn to cry out for Him because there is no other by
our side.
There beside that lonely road, Jesus
himself will sit down beside us, feed us and comfort
us. It is there when we are all alone and do not know
which direction to turn that Jesus will raise us to our
feet, square our shoulders and remind us that;
Whoever claims they are His, must
walk as Jesus did. (I John 2:6)
Down roads where few have traveled,
Looking for those who do not yet know
the way,
Listening
for the voice of the Father and
Walking
steadily in the shadow of His Word.
Still walking with Jesus,
