I have a sneaking suspicion that we all want to know that our footprints will leave an imprint after we leave. More than anything we want to know that somehow, in some way or in someone's life we have made a difference and that the world is a better place because we've walked here.

Teaching Your Heart to Walk in this way is never an easy endeavor. All you have to do is watch a toddler in action to know that walking is something that takes a certain amount of time and practice before we get it right. We fall down, get back up, and sometimes fall again, but in the process we begin to learn how to put one foot in front of the other.

Our hearts are the same. When our hearts begin to take their first steps they will most certainly wish there were something to cushion the many falls. However, if we are willing to try again, our hearts will soon learn how to walk.

One rarely works without the other. If you have great dreams and passions but don't teach them to walk they will never leave an imprint. Likewise if you do not spend time with the things of the soul, no one will want to follow in your steps.
